Geoff Holter has been working with accordions 50 years and as you would expect after this length of time, has a considerable depth of experience.
After completing five years army service Geoff started in the accordion business with Bell Accordions/Hohner Ltd in 1957. He was promoted to Manager for their northern workshops in 1974 and he continued to work for Bells until the time came when they decided to close their business in the north of England in 1987. He has been situated at his present premises for the last 20 years and now trades under the name of Geoff Holter Accordions. Val commenced employment at Bell accordions in 1978 and when Bells ceased trading she came to work for Geoff, as did all the other employees.
Val is responsible for all the reed repair work and specialises in making the handcrafted bellows.
Val is also Geoff's personal assistant, someone to be relied on at all times, Val takes over the running of the business when Geoff is away from the premises.

Nigel commenced employment at Bell Accordions following 2 years on a YTS in 1986, he took to accordion work so well that he was taken on as a full time worker. He is responsible for all manner of accordion repair work as well as MIDI fitting in which he excels.

Our Tuner has worked with Geoff scince the start at Bells in 1957. He is regarded as one of the best tuners in this country. A perfectionist in his work "good enough" will not do, all his tuning has to be perfect whether it is a lower priced accordion or a double cassotto professional instrument.
